How to install and remove LUTs

First, we need to switch to the Edit Tab, and then - to the Tools panel. LUTs are located under the Mood tool from the Creative Section: After clicking on the Mood tool and then on the “Choose LUT”, the list of the default LUT groups will be opened. They are Cinematic Toning, Creative, Cross Processing and Portrait Toning. Each of them has a number of individual LUTs. To open them, click on the arrow: There are two ways to install new to the Mood tool. First. If the LUTs pack is purchased from , it is needed to: 1.Go to the Extras Tab in Luminar Neo: 2. Click on the Marketplace Tab in the new window and then - on the sign with squares and a plus : 3. The window with the purchased add-ons will appear. Hover the mouse pointer over the needed LUT pack and click on “Install”: 4. Once installed, it will be marked “Installed” like this: 5. Now, these installed LUTs (in our example Yellow Spark LUTs) can be found under the Mood tool > Choose LUT > Purchased category: ! Purchased LUTs cannot be removed from the program currently. However, in the future, we are going to release a “delete” option/button for this category. There is a workaround for removing purchased LUTs from the system files and, subsequently, from Luminar Neo described below. We don’t recommend removing LUTs this way, as it may cause some complications, but we provide it, just it case. On Mac, in the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder. Start typing the folder's pathname: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Group Containers/RTW788AXG3.com.skylum.luminarneo. The matching folder will appear. Inside it, there is the LUTs folder,
which contains the Purchased subfolder:
In the Purchased subfolder, there are individual LUTs subfolders like this: To remove the collection of LUTs, you need to delete such a subfolder named with the combinations of letters and figures. To delete one LUT file from the collection, you need to open this subfolder further, to see the exact name on a file inside and also delete it:
On Windows, press Windows key+R. In the appeared window, enter %appdata% and click on OK: In the opened list of folders, select Luminar Neo > Data> LutFiles > Purchased: If the Purchased folder is not visible, please click on the tab View > and check box next to Hidden items: In the Purchased subfolder, there are subfolders for LUTs collections like this: To remove the collection of LUTs, you need to delete such a subfolder named with the combinations of letters and figures. To delete one LUT file from the collection, you need to open this subfolder further, to see the subfolders for individual LUT files with similar names’ format: To identify the name for one LUT file, open the latter subfolder further: Second. If the LUTs pack was gifted and added to of your Skylum account, it is needed to: 1. Download the LUTs pack by clicking on the Download button text to it: 2. Once the pack has been downloaded to your computer, it will appear as the zipped folder. It is crucial to unzip this folder before next steps. On Mac, simply double-click the zipped file.
On Windows, right-click the .zip file to select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
3. Now, we return to the Mood tool in Luminar Neo, click on “Choose LUT” and then - on “Add Custom LUT File”: 4. In the opened window, we need to navigate to the location with the unzipped LUTs folder. In this folder, we can select one LUT file and click on the Open button:
It is also possible to select multiple LUT files at once. On Windows, press Сtrl+ click on the LUTs. On Mac- Cmd+ click. 5. LUTs added this way from your computer, will appear in the Mood tool, under the Custom LUTs category:
! To remove Custom LUTs, hover the mouse pointer over a certain LUT and click on the appeared Trash sign next to it:
