# Luminar Neo as a Photos for macOS Extension

If you’re running **macOS 12.0** or higher, you can use Luminar Neo as an **Extension** to **Photos**.

Here’s how to activate the **Luminar Neo Extension**.

1. Choose **System Settings (System Preferences prior to macOS 13.0)**.
2. Choose **Extensions**.
3. Choose **Photos**.
4. Select the **Luminar Neo Extension**.

#### Here's how to send an image from Photos to Luminar Neo:

1. Launch **Photos** from your **Applications** folder.
2. Choose an image to edit in your **Photos library**.
3. Click the **Edit Photo** button.
4. Click the **Extensions** button and choose **Luminar Neo**.
5. Make any edits or adjustments in Luminar Neo.
6. When done, click the **Save Changes** button to send the adjusted image back to **Photos**.
